Questions
What does Pixo Studio do?
Pixo Studio turns a plain photo of your product into finished product photos made with AI: on a plinth, on a model or in a scene. You choose the look, the setting and the shots; Pixo does the shoot.
Who is Pixo?
Pixo is your studio companion — the little lens-moon who guides you from your first photo to the finished set. Ask Pixo anything on any step: he knows what you’ve picked so far and can make a change for you, but only when you click “Do it”.
How do I make my first shoot?
Open Create and add your product: pick its category and upload a front photo. Then choose a look, a setting and the shots you want. The Review step shows the exact token cost before anything is charged.
Not ready with your own product? Try a demo product first.
Is it free to try?
Yes. Every new account gets 3 free photos. The welcome photos are one per person — creating extra accounts to get them again isn’t allowed.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes: choose “Continue as guest” in the sign-in window. You get 3 free photos with no sign-up, and shooting, your Library and downloads work as usual.
When you sign up on the same browser, everything you made as a guest moves into your account. Free photos are once per person, so signing up after guesting doesn’t add 3 more.
Sign up in the same browser within 30 days, so everything moves over.
A guest is fine for a first try. An account keeps your work on every device and gets receipts by email.
How do I sign in?
With Google, or with your email: we send you a sign-in link, so there’s no password to remember.
Which photos of my product should I upload?
A sharp front photo matters most — it’s the foundation of every shot. If you can, add another angle and a close-up of the material or texture (up to 12 angles and 6 close-ups).
JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 25 MB per photo.
What is the quality score?
The bar on the product page scores your brief from 0 to 100 before a single token is spent. Photos, a close-up, a short description, measurements and the category all raise it.
At 76 or more (Excellent), your shoot qualifies for a refund if a photo still misses.
Which products can I shoot?
Fashion, jewellery, beauty, tech, fragrance, accessories, home and food each have their own settings. Something else? Type your product in the category step and Pixo matches it to the closest setup.
Why do I have to confirm the product is mine?
Pixo is for photographing your own products. When you add one, you confirm it’s your product or brand, or that you’re authorised to sell it, and that it isn’t a replica. Demo products don’t need this.
Can I show my logo or a brand I resell?
Your own logo or brand, yes. A brand you resell, yes, if they’re genuine products you’re allowed to sell. You confirm this for each product and logo. Replicas and “inspired by” copies aren’t allowed.
I have hundreds of products. Can Pixo handle that?
Yes. Import your catalogue from a spreadsheet, a folder of photos or product links, then save a recipe so every product gets the same look.
For a very large catalogue, our team can do it for you. Price on quote: write to hello@pixostudio.ai.
Where are my products and photos saved?
In your Library: every product you add and every photo you shoot is kept there until you delete it.
What is a photoshoot?
A setup you choose once: look, setting and shots. Every photo from it shares the same light and style, so the whole set looks consistent.
How do recipes work?
On the Review or final screen, save your setup as a recipe. Next time, start from that recipe and your new product gets the same look, setting and shots — that’s how a whole catalogue stays consistent.
Can I use my own background?
Yes. In the look step, upload a photo and choose “Exactly as it is” (your product goes into that scene) or “Just the vibe” (a new set with the same light and feel). Use a JPG, PNG or WEBP of at least 1000 px, with no people or other products in it.
A photo isn’t right. Can I redo it?
Yes. Re-shoot the photo with a short note on what to change. A re-shoot costs the same as a new photo.
If your brief scored 76 or more, you can report the photo for a refund instead.
Can I use Pixo photos on marketplaces?
Check each marketplace’s photo rules. Amazon’s main image must show the real product on pure white. Etsy asks for original photos of the actual product in listings, so use Pixo photos there for your own site, socials and ads.
Are the photos marked as made with AI?
Yes. Every download carries the standard “made with AI” tag that marketplaces such as Google Merchant Center read, as EU rules require. It’s in the file’s details and doesn’t show on the picture.
How do I download my photos?
On the final screen, download your favourites or every photo at once; in the Library, use Download all. You get a ZIP of high-quality JPEGs with no watermark. Each file notes in its metadata that it was made with AI.
Which sizes can I download?
Photos are made in 3:4 (1152 × 1536 px) for your website. When you download, you can also pick 1:1 for marketplaces, 4:5 for Instagram and 9:16 for Stories.
Who owns the photos I make? Can I sell with them?
You may use the photos you make for any lawful purpose, including your shop, ads and social posts. Your own uploads stay yours.
AI images may not be protected by copyright everywhere, and similar images can be made for other users, so they aren’t exclusive to you.
Can I use the model photos commercially?
Yes. The models are AI-generated, not real people, so there are no model releases or agency fees: use the photos in your shop, ads and social posts.
Good to know: AI images may not be protected by copyright, and they aren’t exclusive to you.
How do I choose a model?
In the setup, open “Choose a model”: 18 models, women and men, with an age and build you can adjust. One model per shoot. Models don’t cost extra.
Can I use my own face?
Yes. Choose “You” and add a selfie: face a window, look straight at the camera, no sunglasses, hat or mask. It must be your own face, and you must be 18 or older.
Your selfie is only used for your own shoots, is never used to train AI, and you can remove it any time.
How do tokens work?
1 token = 1 finished photo. Each extra shot adds a token, and each extra product in the same photo counts again. Adding your logo to a photo costs one more token. Models, looks and settings cost nothing extra.
The Review step always shows the exact cost before you shoot.
How much do tokens cost?
Taster 10 tokens CHF 7.90 · Roll 50 CHF 33 · Studio 200 CHF 120 · Atelier 600 CHF 315, VAT included where we charge it. Outside Switzerland, the Tokens page shows the price in your currency. You can also buy an exact number of tokens.
Your first purchase within 72 hours of creating your account gets +20% tokens, once per person. No subscription, and the tokens you buy don’t expire while your account is open.
How do I buy tokens?
Open Tokens, pick a pack or the exact number you need, and pay securely with Stripe. Your tokens are added right after payment.
How can I pay?
Pay securely with Stripe: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. TWINT is coming soon.
Do I get a receipt? Is VAT included?
Yes. After every purchase we email you a receipt with the amount and the VAT included. Prices include VAT where we charge it: 8.1% in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, your country’s rate for private customers in the EU.
Need an invoice in your company’s name with your VAT number? Email us the company name, address and VAT number.
What if a shoot fails?
You only pay for the photos you receive. If a shoot fails or only part of it develops, the missing photos are never charged.
How do refunds work?
If your brief scored 76 or more and a photo still misses — wrong colour, shape off, garbled logo — report it within 14 days, on the final screen or in your Library.
A person reviews every request within 2 business days. If it’s approved, the tokens go back to your balance. Up to 5 requests a month.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, within 14 days of a purchase: tell us you’re withdrawing, and we refund the price of the tokens from that purchase you haven’t used, to your original payment method. A first-purchase bonus counts with its purchase, pro rata. Buying for a business? The same applies to unused tokens bought in the last 14 days.
After 14 days, purchases are final. A photo that missed is a separate case: see “How do refunds work?”.
Is there a daily limit?
Yes: up to 60 photos per account per day. If the studio is fully booked for the day you’ll see a message — nothing is charged, just try again tomorrow.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account settings and choose Delete account. It removes your products, photos, shoots and selfie for good. Unused tokens are lost when you delete your account. Bought tokens in the last 14 days? Ask us to refund the unused ones before you delete.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. In Account settings, choose Download my data: you get a file with everything we store about you. The photo links in it work for 7 days.
Where is my data kept? Is it used to train AI?
Your photos are stored in the EU and our servers run in Frankfurt. Your uploads and photos are never used to train AI.
Someone used my brand or work. How do I report it?
Email ip@pixostudio.ai with your contact details, the right concerned (a trademark or a work), where the content appears and a statement that the use isn’t authorised. We confirm we got your notice and review it.
